From 3rd–6th November 2024, Ocean Revive participated in the First Saudi Red Sea Coral Restoration Forum, hosted by the General Organisation for the Conservation of Coral Reefs and Turtles (SHAMS) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The forum brought together experts from government, academia, NGOs, and the private sector to share knowledge, strategies, and collaborations for restoring the unique coral ecosystems of the Red Sea — a true biodiversity hotspot under threat yet renowned for its resilience.
Representing BlueTech Innovation at SHAMS' Inaugural Red Sea Coral Forum
As Saudi Arabia's first dedicated BlueTech coral restoration company, Ocean Revive joined discussions to highlight scalable restoration methods used in Gulf ecosystems and support SHAMS' mission ahead of its ICRI (International Coral Reef Initiative) chairmanship. Our attendance demonstrates early adoption of BlueTech-based restoration infrastructure in the national conservation strategy and reinforced our commitment to science-led, scalable reef restoration solutions.
